Kid Scene Investigation

In creating Kid Scene Investigation, Robin has combined her expertise as a prosecutor with her passion for protecting children. Through KSI Robin provides engaging programs that empower parents to advocate for their children in a variety of areas. KSI’s most requested program teaches parents about the dangers of the Internet and provides them with the knowledge and tools to protect their kids from the dangers of cyberspace.

KSI Investigates The Internet:
Knowledge Is Power

Too many parents are scared of what lurks "out there" in the cyber world. And too many parents are unaware that their children could be vulnerable to Internet predators, stalkers, and cyber bullies. So we created a program to empower parents to get cyber-savvy quickly--to understand real online dangers and protect their children from them. In just over an hour, parents will learn the skills necessary to reduce the odds that their children will be victimized through the Internet.

Because we believe that knowledge is power, we offer a free informational seminar that covers the following topics:

distinguishing fact from "hype": understanding the real dangers of the web

navigating the latest popular socializing Web sites (and recognizing which ones your kids will be attracted to)

learning the must-know lingo (LOL, PAW, 121, POS, WTGP, A/S/L)

filtering and blocking unwanted sites

monitoring Internet chats

recognizing the warning signs of sexual abuse

identifying cyber bullying

protecting the family from Internet fraud

devising a family computer policy that encourages learning and helps to protect your children from identifiable dangers

The Bottom Line: Keeping Kids Safe From Predators
(for Busy Moms and Dads)

In The Bottom Line Robin uses actual tactics—not scare tactics--to teach parents what they need to know to keep their kids safe from predators and molesters. This program was designed especially for multi-tasking moms and dads, whose weeks and weekends are filled with work, carpool, birthday parties, soccer games, school activities, and community events.

Those same parents are concerned about their children’s safety—with caregivers, teachers, counselors, and others—and need accurate information and practical tips in a succinct format.

In just two hours, Robin provides busy parents with the “bottom line”: the truth about predators and molesters, answers to pressing questions, and suggestions for keeping their families safe. The Bottom Line teaches parents:

- how to identify molesters and predators

- who they can trust with their children

- how to hire a nanny or babysitter

- how to talk to kids about safety in a way that empowers them, not scares them (including actual scripts of what to say)

- the difference between “stranger danger” and the “strangers we know”

- what to do if their children disclose inappropriate behavior
